July 2021 – Dec 2022 National Indigenous Australian Agencies funded ESI to help Indigenous job seekers to engage in employment or study, and to assist Indigenous businesses to accelerate and grow. ESI created Maarung Services, Job Mob and additional support strategies and is delivering by currently supporting 47 Indigenous job seekers, transitioning 15 into fulltime employment, and 12 into study. We are also working with 5 Indigenous businesses to assist them to grow.  Our fulltime Indigenous Support Officer, KJ, has developed Job Mob, a series of courses to assist Indigenous job seekers to transition to sustainable employment:

2021 and ongoing – NSW Aboriginal Affairs. ESI received funding to grow the business to enhance opportunities to work with the NSW Government. Through this funding we are well on our way to achieving DISC (personality/behaviour profiling) certification for 3 staff members and building an online learning and delivery platform to enhance our reach with NSW agencies.

NSW Schools & NSW Job Service Agencies: ESI has founded and created an education model called Job Mob which is now embedded in all schools that have the Clontarf program. It is a program for Indigenous boys in schools and across many NSW job service agencies, that focuses on Indigenous engagement.

In 2022 ESI signed two MOU agreements with Transgrid (NSW / ACT Manager and operator of high voltage electricity transmission networks) and Martinus (Railway infrastructure projects, Australia New Zealand and Chile) both tier one developers. These new partnerships are for strategic management and planning to accelerate Indigenous engagement within Transgrid and Martinus. This highlights the innovative and forward-thinking business development of ESI. Through these MOU agreements ESI will mentor and advise at a strategic planning level of major projects, on how to develop Indigenous people and business capabilities to truly participate with real economic benefit for regional communities. Mark Cunningham our Indigenous Director heads up this part of the business.

In addition to our experience with Indigenous transitioning learners ESI has designed and delivered national programs for Indigenous professionals in Emerging Leaders programs with the Australian Tax Office, St Vincent’s Hospital and Qld Department of Education, demonstrating ESIs capability and capacity to engage and deliver nationally with agility and success.
